The head and gaskets from any year will physically fit on the studs from any other. But as stated allredy the head has a different vulume (CCs) and the gasket has a slightly different bore so it would not likely fun the same.

I forget who made the head gasket I put in my 91 LT but it had smaller holes than the one it had on several of the passages. I drilled them to be the same as the one I took off to be on the safe side.

 

i use comet gasket kits from www.moto-man.com there pretty good ive never had a blown head gasket, but it is stock bore gasket. I just resleved my cylinder and brought my commpression up, it was gettin pretty low, it is stock size now.
