Default 1988 Quadzilla

I have a 1988 Quadzilla that is in a lot of pieces. The main thing that I am needing to at least get it running is a new cylinder. I have already checked with Suzuki, they want over $300 for a brand new stock cylinder. I have been checking ebay, but I haven't really had to much luck with it. If anyone can point me in a good direction as to where to look. The is my first project bike, and my first time dealing with a motor so I will try not to sound to stupid. I have been "advised" that I shouldn't get anything with more than a 60 over bore. I appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Thanks.

Why do you need a new cylinder. If your old one is cracked, it can most likely be welded. If you have reached the last bore, it can be resleaved.

The previous owner over ported the cylinder so the whole bottom broke. I was told that it can be welded but I would rather have a more reliable cylinder. I have a picture of it, it doesn't look to good.

While you are getting the other parts of your project in order, keep checking e-bay. I've seen a few on there from time to time. Like everything on your 500, be carefull. There are alot of crooks selling junk. Good luck on your project. As you probably already know, you will end up with one of the greatest quads built.

Thank you, I will definately keep checking e-bay, and I will beware of the crooks. I can't wait to get it done. It's MY first bike too! I've been riding a Banshee for now. The only other thing to worry about, is it being to much power for me, but I'm sure that I will be able to get used to it

Why in the world would a quadchick want to start out with a Zilla? You must ride at Glamis.

there is a cylinder on ebay right now but it needs to be resleeved. that can be done for under $200. as for not boring more than 60 over i think thats wrong cause i have two of them and one is bored 80 over and havent had any problems. if you dont know they can be bored up to 140 over but i wouldnt i would resleeve after 120

No I ride at Pismo. I haven't been to Glamis yet. I'm waiting to get this bike finished until I go to Glamis
