It's electric!
#1
OK maybe!! I just bought my first ATV a Suzuki 1985 Quadsport LT230S and was wondering if anyone could please answer a few questions for me.. First, would it be possible to install an electric start on this? If so where would I get the items?
Also I'm trying to figure out if I need new shocks or if this is normal: I'm 195 lbs and when I sit on it of course it sinks down a bit but when two people are on it, it bottoms out. And I can bottom it out just by pushing on either the rear or front, is this normal? I want to do some jumping (nothing major)..
I haven't ridden it yet because of the clutch. She cranks and idles fine but it won't move when its in gear. The clutch started slipping with the last owner and finally went out so I just ordered steels and fibers, springs, and the side cover gasket so it should be ready to roll when I get that on.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~

Goki makes an electric start kit for the Quadsport. How much does your passenger wiegh? The wieght limit on the 230 is 260 lbs. The shocks are probably bottoming a little because they are old, but mostly due to overload. You can normally push them down if you push hard. You can order stiffer shocks, or at least adjust the preload on the shock to the stiffest position.
