buying lt250r need some tips
Ok I had some questions about 85-86 lt250r's. I am probobly going to get one this saturday on trade and was wondering if there are any serious problems that occur on a regular basis to watch out for like the cracking swingarms on lt230's. I have had 5 dirtbikes and this will be my second quad. I had a 97' blaster that REP in Springfield mass (I work with them alot) did a nice job to show their work and did a 240 big bore with some head work and porting. It went pretty good but wasn't big enough for my tastes. I built it up with extend swing arm axle a arms REP suspension and engine work and basically ended up just being to darn small. So now I am looking at an lt and even though I wanted the powervalved years first I'm only paying 350 in the end for it (long story with the sled i own and everything) Is there anything I need to watch out for? I was told the tranny's can have some problems? Its going to be a shop project quad similar to the blaster but shop funded and will end up being a display item but I don't want to waist the money go through the work and have a problem of some kind. Thanks for the help,
Jeremy

I think for the money you cant go wrong on this one. It will be a definate upgrade from the blaster. Aside from the 87 and latter being superior, I have not heard of anything drasticly wrong with the 85 and 86.
