The stock engine doesn't have a lot of off-idle power (the engine doesn't like to lug down), compared to say the 400EX for example. You have to run revvvvved out, well past that spot. Combine this with a light flywheel, and it makes very slow, technical trail riding a bit of a pain.

After putting on an aftermarket header and muffler (FMF PowerBomb and Ti-4), the low end really woke up!!

The only flaw I could possibly see is the axle, My quad had the updated one and it still bent a little. Not a problem though, dealer covered it under warranty. I have took a couple really hard flat landings off a 35+ ft. table and the shock mounts look like new. I agree the stock motor has not much power and needs to reved waaaaay up. I am going to gear down a tooth and do a couple other small mods to help though.

No complaints with mine. As for the low end power when stock, try going to a 13 tooth front sprocket, it will give you plenty of low end. I never left mine stock for very long, did an intake mod after about 4 hours of ride time and that woke it up some.

The only problem i had with mine was the steering tie rods. One bent during a not-too-hard day of riding. I just removed the tie rods and put steel rods inside the hollow aluminum and haven't had any problems since. Also fixed the low rev problem with a pro desing air kit and white bros exhaust. Rides like a raped-ape now!!!!!! LOVE IT!

Really the only issue I had last year on the stock quad was frame and axle. But they have since then fixed that problem. I bent two axles before upgrading and crack the frame right where the shock mount is twice.

Other than that, its been good stock and I rode the holy **** out of it.......
