HMMM?

Hello! If anyone could please provide a few tips or answers to my questions I would greatly appreciate it.
First I just bought a 1985 Suzuki LT230S, I replaced the fiber plates and it now runs fine. I usually use the compression release for 15-20 kicks when i first crank it that day and then it will crank first regular kick.
I really like this ATV, I could have bought a newer one but this one was a good deal and I just love the looks of it.
I think it is pretty fast! Sure it's not as fast as other sport quads but it's still quick and fun.
Anyway when I'm riding it I'll floor it and it will go but it takes a few seconds before the real power comes and it really takes off, why is this? My friend said he thinks the clutch it slipping but I think it feels normal.
Another Q is how to wheelie good? I can pop it up and all but I just can't hold it up. I'm just under 200 pounds so where should I be sitting at? What gear should it be in?
Also if you stand an ATV on it's grab bar will it hurt it?
Sometimes when I am riding it the rear end will make this weird noise, I'm 99% sure it's the axle bearings so I ordered a new set of bearings and the dust seals plus a K&N air filter. When I put the filter in will any other adjustments need to be made or anything like that?
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question 1: Clean the air filter, Clean the Carb (Jets especially), Put in a new spark plug. If that doesn't help, you're going to have to start looking deeper into the Carb.
Question 2: Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice!
Question 3: Depends on what the grab bar is made of, how thick it is, how fast you're going when it hits the ground, and what type of ground you're hitting!
Question 4: Don't dig into the carb unless you notice problems after putting the new air filter kit on.

What I meant by the grab bar Q is will it hurt the ATV if I stand it up on the grab bar (purposely) like to take a picture of it or something. I'm not asking will it crack the taillight or bend the exhuast or anything like that I'm asking if it will flood it or get gas someplace it's not supposed to be, etc.
Right now it has no air filter on it but I have a K & N on the way, will this filter increase performance from the way it is right now without one?
I know it takes practice to wheelie and I do practice. Today I rode one about 10-15 feet in first but I need to know where I should be sitting (as far back as possible?) and what gear I should be in to start. Typically I start the wheelie by going very slow them gassing it and hold it up as long as possible. Another thing I'm worried about is flipping backward when I change gears.

You can stand the bike up on the grab bar without hurting it. So you can wash it or take a picture. It will drain the fuel from the carb bowl, so it'll take a couple of extra strokes to start it, but it won't damage or hurt anything. There's no specific place to sit on the bike to ride a wheelie. You almost have to stand the bike on end to keep it going, it will feel completely unnatural, that's why it takes a lot of practice, so that you get used to feeling the bike that way. You might feel a slight increase in power with the K&N, it depends on many factors. After you install it, you might want to find somewhere on the web where it tells you how to tune your specific carb for that bike, and that might help you out a little. After you install it, put in a new spark plug. Run the bike 10 minutes, then pull the plug and inspect it. If it's already black (oily), you're running too rich, if it's really white (too hot!), then you're running too lean. You'll have to make adjustments to the carb air or fuel screws. If you can't figure it out, you might want to take it to a bike shop, tuning carbs isn't the easiest thing to do if you haven't had much experience with them.
