I just bought a dvx 400 and there is not alot of info out yet. I'm pretty sure the z400 parts will fit but not positive. First question I don't have alot of money to spend right now so has anyone removed the airbox lid and rejetted, if so did it give you much more power, the other thing I was wondering about is if there is a baffle in the exhaust that I could remove until I can get a pipe?

i would just wait till you get a pipe filter ect to rejet(meening dont take airbox lid, ect) off

 

btw, how is the DVX 400, and how mutch did it run you i was looking into thouse a little, but never really heard of anything about them and was catinous due to its there first years production

 

I took it out riding yesterday and it handles very well. I;m 6'5 and weigh 300lbs and it does really well in the sand. I was looking into a raptor but due to my local dealerships and some other reasons decided on the dvx. it was 6200 out the door msrp is 5799

 

i have taken the baffle off of mine, and noticed that it gives it a lot louder sound, and the acceleration is a bit better. Other than that though, i havent seen a huge difference in the performance.

 

z400nate did you change your air filter or remove the airbox lid and did you have to rejet?
