Default top end rebuild lt250r

ok mark will try that .......but if it is a air leak where would the most likely place for these motors to suck air when hot ????

Default top end rebuild lt250r

I will be watching this thread.
I have a practically virgin lt250r motor that needs to be built and put back in its frame.

the swingarm and motor are the only things holding me back now

does anyone know a good LT motorbuilder????

i would say for an air leak check where the head pipe mounts to the engine(exhaust leaks will burn down an engine quickly if not fixed), check all the components of the powervalve system(many people would disagree with me but these things can malfunction and cause an air leak, and lean that engine right out). that is all i can really think of right now, those are the basics to check. and Bing to answer your question i like CT for the 250's. they have some real nice packages. you also might look into trinity they have a good amount of kits for these bikes. remember these bikes respond very well to porting. so if you are looking to just do a mild build up i would change to a high compression head, 38 or 39mm carb, port, aftermarket piston and rings, and a very good exhaust system and that bike will rip.

www.ctracing.com they have a kit for $450 where the port the cylinder, mill deck and rechamber the head, new gaskets, and a little bit more work as well. there are alot of companies just do a search online.
