well, i just ordered the last part i need (for now[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]) as soon as the DG pipe shows up, i'm ready to bolt the last few pieces on and fire this thing up.
Quadsportfreak, what size main jet did you use on your modded 230?

probley eastcoastatv.com and vincescycle.com are really the only guys who do 230's there is 1 more place, and not madman racing or fst, i cant remember mabey someone else can help me out? word to the wise: dont dump alot of money in a 230, you wont ever get it back.

u may not get as much out of it...but its the same as modding an old Honda 250X, or maybe an old 300EX or Warrior. I think it has just as much potential as those.

Malhombre, I went from a 112.5 main to a 122.5 or 125 main, depending on the temperature. if you do what i did, you will most likely have to change your needle jet also, otherwise it gets lean on the bottom. If ur just adding a pipe and filter, then a new main will do the trick.

Just remember,every motor is different, so QuadSportFreak's jetting may not be perfect for your quad,but close, because I am running a 130 main and mine runs sweet . Also my clip is in the middle position on the needle. Good luck.

i got a 120 main installed in the carb, i'll start there & see what happens.
got my DG pipe yesterday and it didn't come with a clamp?!? what's up with that! anyone got a suggestion? i sure don't want to buy some cheapa$$ 49 cent POS.
where can i find something decent?

Malhombre, if its a DG RCM, i dont think it comes with a clamp between the head pipe and the muffler. The pipes are fit together with grease or never seize between them. and, the aluminum is so thick that a clamp wouldnt do much.
