Hey all. I am running stock tires on my Z right now but I'm looking at Maxxis 4 Snow this winter. My question is the Maxxis are 2 in. bigger (22 x 10-8) than my stock (20 x 10-9), will that be a problem? This is my first year riding so I'm new to all this stuff. Do I have to get new rims or can I pull my tires off stock rims and put on Maxxis? Thanks for any help.

 

22 x 10 - 8 , breaks down to 22" tall by 10" wide, fitting a 8" rim size. Since your stock tires are 20" tall by 10" wide, on 9" rims you would have to get new rims for those tires. Don't they make a 22 x 10 - 9 for the tire your looking at ? If so, you can keep your stock rims and save some cost.

 

thanks for the help KantCMe. I didn't know it broke down like that. They do make a 22 x 10-9, that helps that I can keep my stock rims now. thanks again
