Default ATV STARTING PROBLEMS, HELP ME

Hey, Im new here, and glad to be here.
First off, your going to have to level with me and be patient as when it comes to engines im no expert!
Anyway, i own a 1989 Suzuki Quadrunner 250cc.
My question is, has anyone had problems with getting it to start?
I want to do some winter riding this year so its not just sitting there, but it has some problems starting even in the summer time when the engine is warm. How can I overcome this problem? Is there something I should be checking since it isn't an easy starter?
It is electric start, and has a brand new battery so thats not the problem.
It also has a secondary pull start, but its seized up in a few spots and is really hard to use it!

Down to the history on my atv, i bought it 3 years ago and it only had 1 problem, and that was the partially dead battery! Well, bought a brand new one and it worked great (until now). Im not sure what the problem is exactly, but it might have something to do with the high revs i ride it at! I do trail racing and drag racing (trail series) with some buddies of mine

Also, there is some problems with taking it to a shop...i don't have the following:
1. A Car to tow the atv or a Truck to take it somewhere
2. My full license to drive any vehicle while towing
3. A hitch on my parents vehicles
4. A Trailer

So whatever has to be done, is going to probably have to be done by me unfortunately

Welcome to the site. The first and best thing you can do is buy a manual for your bike. I'd drain and drry the gas tank and rebuild the carb. for starters. I'd also change the plug, oil filter, oil, and air filter. Does the bike smoke at all, does it idle well after it starts?

Yes, it does idle fine after it starts...that is when i can get it to!
Theres already a new spark plug in it, and new oil.
And as for rebuilding......whatever you said, like i said before, im not an expert...i probably wouldn't even call myself and amateur
lol
