Default Help with Uni-filter

Hi,

Just got a uni-filter for my '92 LT250R. What bits are you meant to retain to run this filter? It doesn't really seem to fit whatever i try and im not sure the best way to get it on there.

It looks so flimsey though-if i show it any hard use it looks like it'll just tear off. What am i doing wrong?

Cheers for any help,

Rob,
(in wet and cold england)

Default Help with Uni-filter

Yep no worries. When you by a uni-filter you just get the foam filter and nothing else.

What part does the filter attach to? Its too big to go straight on the carb and tool small to fit on anything else.

Are you supposed to use the stock airbox aswell? and more to the point, how does the filter manufacturer expect you to know?!

Thanx

Default Help with Uni-filter

My uni-filter fits right where the stock filter was

Use the stock plastic support cage (for the filter). I have the one that fits the stock airbox (on an 87 lt250r)

I can snap some pics if you want.

Yeah if you could take a couple that would be great. Why is the simpleist of jobs is a pain?! The engine bolts in no probs but a little air filter takes days of chasing info!!!!
