Suzuki 2 stroke powervalve?
#2
I'd like to know more about the power valve, too. It looks lik in 6 months, no one responded. I know the power valve is there to help 'even out' the power band. What I want to learn is more about the adjustment of the valve. Anything you can share?

The powervalve opens up at higher rpms increasing the exhaust chamber thus increasing top end horsepower. when it is closed it creates more compession and more bottom end. The honda is a powervalve motor it just uses a different style powervalve than the suzuki

the SEAC alters the exhaust volume, how ?? at low revs the port opens a chamber in the front of the crankcase, this make the pipe have a larger volume and gives more low end grunt, at a certain RPM the valve closes and breathes straight out the pipe reducing the volume, same as running a shorter pipe body and gives better top end.
I find my LT can easily out grunt TRX 250's for midrange power, this is due to the SEAC system.
check out a really good article on Ripley ATV site at:
