yep u can JB Weld that i had a 230 quadsport and i've JB Welded at least 4 side cases some worse than that just make sure u get inside and out just use some form a gasket around the cover and you'll be fine

after you jb weld, make sure that you run aa bead of high temp sealent around it.

it will work i had to do it to my quadracer when i knocked a 1 inch hole in the case

bad news...

everything was okay except the shifter (a bolt broke white screwing it). no more oil leaking.

i was riding in the snow then i heard a noise so i turned off the engine.

the chain slipped off and broke the magneto cover again AND the side of the crankcase were the bolt goes!!!!

i cannot describe how i'm feeling right now, this really sucks, everything is breaking on my quad. 800$ canadian invested in garbage.

Bummer, don't think Mr. J.B. Weld can fix that one. You need to fix the chain problem first then round up a new case.

My brother in law as an 86 lt230, seems the chain is always making some noise but it doesn't throw it very often.

hehe yes, bummer :\

i think i'll let it sleep until april, when it'll be completely paid (damn credit card hehe)

then after i'll work on it.


i took those pics right after taking out the missing pieces. snow is already here in quebec [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
