Top speed LT250R?
#2
It all depends on the modifications. I was thinking about transplanting a jet engine out of a f-15 Strike Eagle. That should do quite well. (Until, of course, I can get a Harrier "jump" jet engine. The jumping possibilities are endless....)I have only needed to wait for the chance to actually get an engine. Seriously, I would think that a totally moded lt 250 R with the correct motor would top out at 75-80 mph, give or take a little.

I think the surface your running on has more of an effect on top speed than anything. I ran my LT with stock tires, stock gearing, an FMF pipe/silencer after a CT rebuild (the piston was only .25mm over) and hit 78 MPH while running on a hard pack, dry lake bed - just about the best surface you can get on for top speed. Compare that to the same machine on a regular loose dirt road doing about 60 top speed. You can make a Suzuki LT250R go a couple of hundred miles per hour too! Just drop it out of a plane. And if you want to use it after you arrive at the ground bring a parachute.
