Default How to check proper jetting

I recently insalled the Dyno Jet main size 165 in my 400 and the bikes seems to run perfectly. The spark plug looks about right but there was no noticeable change in power output. Im wondering if my carb settings or jet size can be fine tuned for better effect. How do I know if I am running the right jet size? Is there a way to tell besides looking at the spark plug?

Did you do anything to the Z besides just the jetting (air filter, pipe, etc)???

Please tell me you don't think "jets" add power. Read this information on jetting.

I also installed a FMF head pipe and silencer. Removed my air box lid and installed a K&N air filter. I changed my needle setting aswell.

I may not be an expert in Jetting but I do know that running a bike with proper jetting will make more power than running a bike with improper jetting. This is not a point I wish to argue I just want to make sure I am set up properly.
