Default Basic Questions...Please help...thanks

Just baught a Z400(2004)

I have run two tanks of gas through it and I just changed the oil/filter.

Few newbie questions here...

Should I adjust the valves? I do hear them tap a little. Pain to do? Should I bring it to dealer?

Is a WhiteBrothers slip on a good exhaust?

What Jets should I use? I know the factory runs them too lean. I am from New England...not in the high mountains or anything like that.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to help out with my questions.

Steve

Well about the white bros slip on:
I wouldn't get that if i had a z400. i woud be looking more into hmf, dmc, or trinity.

about the jets:
u can get mikuni jets or jet kits from dynojet or k and n

i would consider getting your valves adjusted from the dealer.

I agree w/ 04suzukiz250. CT,and FMF are good systems also. I just put a Yoshi on mine and I like it. Gave it more low end torque. Not really the system I wanted but couldn't beat the price.

It may not need rejetted. I took mine to a shop they hooked it up to a computer and it is fine as is.
