that is a sweet deal i got mine for like 6500 otd but that was with a back box adn a winch. but if i were u id get the manual i thionk it is a better allarround quad. iv had auttos b4 and i didnt like em that much. i know the big diff between the autos and manuals bescides the tray is twe manuals have a higt comperson and are much faster.

alot of biast vinson owners here.
the 500 scrambler will out handle, out accelerate, and out jump a vinson on a bad day. If you plan on mudding alot or doing chores with your four wheeler the vinson is better. If you ride trails and don't plan on hardcore mudding get the scrambler. It is more sporty on the trails than the vinson.

the only thing hte scambler has on the vinson is its lighter but that dosent even make it handel beter. iv ridden with a few 2 and 4 wheel drive. The manual vinson is dead even on the top end and the auto is only 3 or 4 miles an hour slower but it will get there faster. The vinson handels better even with its larger size and weight. Theres not even a comparison in mud, the piaris only has 23 inch tires and about half the ground clearence. The polaris also has a chain drive rear end insted of shaft, that just plain sucks. the scrambler dosent have racks or even a trailer hitch. The only thing i can think of is that if you have a pu$$y compact truck the scrambler will fit in the bed better. If anyone dosent agree with me i invite you to bring a scrambler up to central new york and i'll prove you wrong. roost thrower take your own advice of the week, its obvious that you have not driven one of the two or maybe your just not the brightest bulb on the christmas tree.

hey i love polaris ask the polaris forum youll get a totall different opinion.
but to tell you the honest truth ive ridden both and i like the vinson better. seems to have better handling, has more GC and rides more like a sport quad without sacrificing the utility.

The low range and manual tranny, shaft drive, fender protection from mud and water, gauges, separate front and rear brakes, racks,no grease fittings,no wet belts in the creeks, and overall versatility are some of the reasons I went with the Vinson 5 speed.

I own both the Vinson and the scrambler. The Vinson out handles the scrammy in every way. On off camber trails the scrambler will and has tipped over, and the Vinson won't. The Vinson turns easier and sharper. I can keep the Vinson in 2nd gear for more power and sliding around corners. The Vinson has low range for the deep stuff, and the scramblers belt will slip in deep water. You have to pick your line better on the scrambler where you can just stradle rocks and logs with the Vinson. The scrambler has a stronger 4x4 system and will suprise you where it will go, Thats why I added a Detriot Locker to the Vinson. Iv'e broke two CV's since. I am now adding Rockford heavy duty CV's. Both will go around the same speed on open roads. The scrambler is less than 50lbs lighter than the Vinson.
