Default bigger tire = less acceleration

I know that taller tires will give more top speed but I also read that taller tires take more engine power and more strain to get them moving. So will it put more strain on my Z250 if I got 2 inch taller tires and take away my acceleration?

if you want to get the bigger tires drop a tooth in the front and that will compensate for the bigger tires.

The taller tires will RAISE your effective gearing. You will gain top end speed at the expense of bottom end torque. Keep in mind also that the bigger tire will be HEAVIER, and hey, a little 250 needs all the help it can get.

What is the purpose for the taller tire. Are you looking for ground clearance, top end speed, or ?????

Im looking for top end speed possibly but I have already decided to just go with the 1 inch wider tires. I was also looking for a different stance of the quad cause the front end sits a little higher than the rear but that is alright.

i did not notice a loss on bottom, but that my be because i have a highly modded 500, even on my 230 is run holeshot 20" good combo, + i can change gear rations, i would stay with a 20, 0r 21.

I was looking for 21 inch ones but all that I have found were the 22 inchers wich to me would be a little to much difference in power delivery so i decided to go itp holeshot tires that are 20x11x9 so ...

I have some 20X10X10 holeshots, and they are the same size as 22X11X10 Titan Trekkers. Holeshots are taller than they say they are.
