Good idea. I think you would have been disappointed. The price for 250R's will be coming down now that the 450R has been released.

You don't like your LT more than that?

No, my post was a bit confusing. I meant that you would probably be disappointed with the Quadracer that kid was trying to sell you with the screwed up tranny. I like my LT and have always been more enamored with Quadracers than 250R's. I've wanted a Quadracer ever since they first came out in '85 back when I was riding my old Quadrunner 185. The 250R just never appealed to me the way the LT did. Now, in my eyes, they're even cooler since most people don't know about them and have just heard about the 250R. A Tecate 4 would be really sweet but they just weren't as good all around as a 'Racer and they are difficult to find parts for. The 'Racer's motor has good power but it's not high strung like a Tecate 4 so you can trail ride it without much hassle. Also, LT's are much more affordable than 250R's and offer equal performance for trail riding.

Ok I understand now

The thing I'm really with you is that it's true that the 250r is overpriced since it has the same power as the suzuki.

i want a tecate soo bad but I dont have the tim/money/storage for one. I just got the zilla but there are parts for them i wonder if it will get a lot harder to find a tecate far down the road or do you think the ones that are still out there will be here to stay. all those ones parted on ebay are sadening

A Tecate 4 would be a labor of love since you'd have to work to find parts. I've seen some on ebay that were complete and in good shape. The prices were reasonable. It definitly wouldn't be your everyday quad but I think it would be cool to have one. Every year that goes buy the quad would become even more rare.

For longivity of being able to find parts and hop up parts the 250R would be the way to go since they are by far the most popular.
