difference between 85-87 lt250r's?
I have a 1985 Suzuki Lt250r frame. It doesnt have the original motor in it but I want to get a six pack rack and outerwears shock covers for it but they only show for 87 and up lt250s . does anyone now the difference and if the six pack rack and shockwears will fit the 85.
thanks

Yeah, the six pack rack should fit since the frames arn't that different. I believe the '87 got revised front end geometry, longer travel front & rear and the powervalve engine. I bet the shockwares will work but honestly, I think they are a waste of money since the shock shaft is is already protected by a plastic sleeve and the shock wares tend to hold in mud and crud unless they are pulled off when washing the quad.

The 85-86's have 12" front shocks and the 87-up have 15" fronts, so the shockwears won't fit. I got a 6-pack rack from PRM that fits well.
Does your quad vibrate alot? They say that dirtbike engines in quad frames tend to break motor mounts and vibrate alot 'cause they're not counterbalanced. Have you found this to be true?
