Default Z250 Shifter

My son has a Z250 and has some trouble shifting while using his riding boots. Has anyone put a new shifter on the Z that is an inch or two higher to improve the ability to get your foot under the shifter? Also any recommendation for _flexible_ riding boots would be great.

Thanks

Just loosen the shifter and move it up a tooth or two as I think we all have had the same problem....

I actually had to adjust my shifter down a little so I didn't have to pull up so high to shift.

I had the same problem. All you have to do is to adjust the lever. Or just use the boots a lot and after a while they will break in and it will stretch and be flexible.

Do like they said as far as moving it a tooth or two, and then you can fine tune it where the 2 little black boots are there are locking nuts on a small shaft. Break both nuts loose and then turn the shaft in the direction you want it and then lock em down... As far as the boots go.....I've never tried it, but as long as the boots are a dark color I bet you could use glove oil for baseball mits on them.....anyone?
