I broke two CVs on my Vinson. I am replacing them with heavy duty Rockford CVs. The stock ones were 2.25" diamiter at the bell, The Rockfords are 2.75". A half an inch bigger. They also have much bigger ***** and cage. the part # is 02015/P2.They were $239.00 ea. Talk to Sean at Rockford Axle 815-9621411. The invoice says Gorilla HSD on it.

I contacted Rockford and the part number you gave is not complete. According to them they do not have a complete assembly for a Vinson. If you could check the number again and let me know I would appreciate it.

I know the Eiger is not the vinson but I just had to replace the left half shaft because of the outer cv joint being wore out. No one makes replacement outer cv joints so I had to buy the whole thing. I don't think I need to buy gorilla's because I not lifted or oversized tires and the power output is stock. Does any one know of a company that makes or sells the outer joints?

Dazeys,

How did you break the CVs? Do you think it was because of the weight of the big 28s or maybe some jumping?

This post is a year old and the CV's have held up great. The first one I had the lift on. The 2nd I was stuck on a log and had the wheels turned in reverse. I just check the invoice and that is the part # on it. It also has part # 182 RT/P2 "Rockford tough kit"
