hey guys, i had jsut bought an lt250 from the papers. i go and test ride it and not knowing much about the 2 strokes since its my first one, besides my snowmobiles, i decided to buy it. good price of 2,000. i bring it to my mechanic so he can give it a good look and it turns out that the crank is busted. this is a costly job so im not even gunna bother, im guna put it back in the papers and sell it as is. with that aside, i think im going to go with a 4 stroke, i already have 2 polaris sportsmans and a suzuki dirtbike. iv been thinking about the z400. looks like a great bike. ill have to look out for a good deal.

Hang on a second.... I think I'm a little confused!

You test rode it with the crank broke? I really doubt that is possible... if the crank is broke, it wouldn't run.

please clarify?

There are GOBS of 250 parts on ebay.... you can fix it up pretty darn cheap! You'll like this much better than a thumper once you get done... especially if you've ridden dirt bikes, etc.

k guys, i post a thread and this is wut i get. nice. i didnt say it was broken, it was jsut in bad condition. didnt realize it but yeah. sorry for posting such a stupid thread...

 

No way you could do anything with a busted crank. Maybe you should get a second opinion.
