Default LT250 cylinder 87 vs 88 ??

How can you tell the difference between an 87 and an 88
LT250R cylinder??

87 and 88 both had a powervalve. The 87 cylinder had a much bigger intake than the 88.

87's had a weird intake boot bolt pattern...u can compare it on a parts microfiche at ronnies.com and u can tell the difference.

Default LT250 cylinder 87 vs 88 ??

The 87 intake is huge, and has 5 bolts. The 88-up is smaller with 6 bolts. 87 is preferred for drag racing. 88-up for everything else.
