The factory paint on my zill is still in good shape, but the TRX need freshening up. I want to do
powercoat hammertone red on the frame, hubs&spindles, and like chrome on swingers. New
bearings and bushings too.

Is the axle end of your laeger arm round or square? If its a honda type setup that in its self
is worth doing. you gonna have one killer Zill when you are done!

As far as color for the swing arm, I would vote for silver if you are going to powdercoat it. Before having an axle made you should make sure that the bearing carrier for the laegers swingarm takes an lt500 axle. I was under the impression that a lot of the round housing carriers use a honda or banshee style axle.

Yes, Halfliter is a talented fabricator and I would think that extends to the engine work he did to his lt500 as well . I wish I could have taken his lt for a spin.

well i picked the swingarm up from the strippers first thing this morning, told the guy who i was thinking of letting powder it for me and he sugested someone else to let do it, i thought i would give them a try, i had decided on the yellow, after reading thru this topic i had thought about how nice a candy blue might be for the frame so i just made a casual enquiry as to what blues they have, the guy pulled out a sample of the most awsome blue i have ever seen.

i know my zilla deserved it so i thought WTF ill get ill get the frame done,

i went to the shop whove got the zilla to do the engine, said ive seen a nice blue and want to get the frame done, and they stripped the zilla while i waited i stuffed into the back of the car and raced of to the strippers but they had finished for the day so ill have to get it done tommorow,

swinger will be done and ready for tommorow, and the frame will be ready for coating on monday and back tuesday,

im prety sure the yellow will work for the swinger and should look realy good with the candy blue frame

the only problem now is that the blue on the engine wont match the frame, so i guess im gona have to have it polished, shouldnt be a problem tho cos the engines still in bits waiting for gearbox parts,

yeah i just thought the other day that maybee the housing wont take the zilla axle, it didnt occur to me at the time and i got a new durablue recently,LOL

standard Length on the arm, i didnt want to alter the length cos im not gona be strait line racing, ill mainly end up a speedway size oval

im realy paranoid now about the round housing, if its not gona take my axle its just gona mean more expence, ill nip down to the shop with it tommorow and get it checked out,

if i need a different axle chances are ill need brake rotor, hubs and sprocket carrier,

i just hope if anything its honda at least then if the wheels turn up tommorow they will still fit,LOL

I hope I'm wrong about the axle. Here's a link to their website Laegers . Drop them an email. If it is honda sized, or even banshee, there is a lot more stuff on ebay then there is for the LT. Good Luck!
