my new to me laegers swinger turned up today curtesy of ebay,

the guy had stripped the paint with a view to having it re done, so its bare metal at the moment, while i was waiting for it to arrive i could think of nothing but Chrome plating, now its here im thinking maybee paint, Yellow might be nice, with the blue frame,

just bothered it might look a bit to Bling,Bling with Chrome and with it being used im not sure i could get a nice show quality finish,

any sugestions??

Powdercoat it my good man, more durable than paint and looks just as good! And I'd say go the same color as your A arms, thats what I'm going to do.

or even better... paint it basic suzuki white and put on the original full floater stickers. badass sleeper style. Honda boys never knew what hit 'em.

definitly not sure about adding another colour onto the bike but matt black could be ok, and is actualy the tuffest powder

they were made by a forum member

his user name is Halfliter, i just happend to check his photopage to check out hi zilla and noticed he had made him self a set of a arms, i was in the market and thought CNC billet might be good cos im only into flat tracking i asked him if he could do some +2 and he agreed,

he had to redesign the software to take account of the additional length and there actualy slightly different at the shock mount compared to the ones in his photo page, but do follow the basic layout,

The guy is a seriously talented engineer and to say i was impressed with what turned up would be an understatement,

at the time the zilla was at the shop having several things done to it, i told them i was having some billet a-arms made buy a guy i got talking to on a forum and i think they were a bit doubtfull as to what was gona turn up for them to fit, needless to say when i turned up with them for fitting, there jaws dropped to the floor

they mount to the frame with heim joints so are fully adjustable, and are definitly the trickest part of the quad, till i get to talk to Frank about an Axle

i know brand names and a proven track record mean a lot to some people, but a having a well crafted piece off billet ally to hang your wheel on and knowing no one else in the world has got em, says more for me

ive been asked a few times to get some updated pics of how the zillas doing and im gona realy have to sort some out this week,

pricing was extremely reasonable at the time and if i remember rightly Frank said now that the time had been put in to design them and set up the tool paths, he could do them quite a bit cheaper if i or anyone else wanted some,

check out halfliters photo page and drop him a pm i know if he has got access to a quad to get measurements from he will make a set for any wheeler

Powdercoat is tough as nails. Have you seen "like chrome" powdercoat color? It would look good with your billet
arms, and yeah a full floater sticker too, for sure! I like the sleeper look, less is more.

Does that arm have a Honda style axle carrier? If so Im jealous.

to be honest i wouldnt know what a honda style axle carrier is,

please explain and ill let you know, im always willing to make someone jellous,LOL

i had thought while the engines being done and im at the mercy of suzukis "no longer listed but still available ??" parts, i will have time to get the frame done i fancied some sort of candy blue effect,

im sure ive seen a site that makes lt swingers and stuff and they showed one with a yellow swinger and it looked realy good.

yeah i kind of like the sleeper thing, i had even thought about an exact replica of the frame made out of titanium and painted blue,

probably cost an absolute fortune tho,

i noticed in dirtwheels that lonestar do a titanium frame that weighs something like 16pounds, thats probably lighter than my swingarm,LOL

ultimate sleeper mod would have to be fyling off the 499cc3 on the jug and replacing with 249cc3,lol
