i took the housing down to the shop for their opininion, my old axle was syill there thay managed to get it in, they didnt want to push it in all the way cos the bearings in the housing are mint and the old axle is grotty, looks like it will be the right size, there gona check the part numbers of the bearings just to make sure tho,

and they assured me that its not the right size for honda or yamaha,

i looked on the site and it does say that the LT arm comes with housing, so theres no reason why they wouldnt bother to make it proper size,

wont find out tho till it goes back together for sure tho

just got back from picking up the swinger from the powder coaters, looks real good, they did the yellow and then went over it with a lacquer some local signwrighters are gona make some blue leagers stickers for it,

Glad to hear it about the axle, and sorry for questioning it . It sounds like you've got a great shop working on it. You'll have to update your pics page.

thanks for mentioning it Tom,

its always better to check thing out, i wouldnt have given it a second thought, last thing i would have wanted would be a call saying "your axle doesnt fit"LOL

yeah the shop are absolutly brilliant, i struck lucky cos i was passed on to them by a complete idiot of a dealer, i was actualy shocked tho when i mentioned about getting the frame done, the mechanic just wheeled it strait in to the work shop and it was bare bones in about an hour,

There prety keen to get the frame back and get it built up so i should have a rolling chasis sometime next week, then its just a case of waiting on suzuki for the gear part for the engine, hopefully the rear wheels and steering stem turned up today, theyve been on back order with white brothers since just before christmas,

I decided to get some factory decals like the ones that were on it originaly hopefully suzuki have got a few kicking around

ill get some pics up next week when i get the frame back got plenty of space now im a suporting member so i should be able to get a good few showing different stages of the rebuild,

i have a laegers swingarm on my Lt 500 because i broke 2 of the stock unit's. the laegers swingarm take the stock bearings & axle no problems.it also has a banshee chain guide mount,an Lt250 front chain guide pre'91-'92. i had to welded mounts for a skid plate. the stainless steel skid has worked the best. those alum' skids fold like beer cans even the thick ones do.when something hits your sprocket or disc can f up your swing' pretty bad, I ve done it once. a skid plate is a good thing.even if u only go straight in a line or the sand.get the aftermarket chain guides in the back of the quad mags' there bigger & better more expensive too.i try to help?

the laegers swing' dosen't fit as well as the stock units do. they will be gaps between the front seals & engine. the lower shock mount bolt & nut ran to close to the swing' on mine, so i slowly filed the head of the bolt. i didn't want it to rub the swing' the stronger swing' can also stress the frame some so maybe some welding to the engine & frame pivot.
