Default KingQuad carburetor hoses?

Got an old 92 Suzuki KingQuad 300cc 4x4 last weekend. It´s little messed up here and there so I´m gonna try and fix it a little. I´m new at this so these questions might sound lame! The carburetor has 2 hoses that come near the gas tank, they are not plugged into anything, should they be?! Also the gastank cap should have a hose plugged in it, where should that one go? Are all these hoses just for replacement air or what? Is there any pics om the net how all the hoses should be in this quad? I have the Clymer manual for this thing and I can´t even find it from there, yet!!! <- just got the manual yesterday.... Could someone help, please...

Default KingQuad carburetor hoses?

Did you figure it out yet?

If the 2 hoses are plugged into the carb and are pretty small (smaller than the hose from the petcock) then they're just vent hoses. The gas cap vent hose usually just runs into a spot just in front of the cap. On my 99 there is a hole to push the hose into. You are correct it's just a vent hose.

Good Luck,
Rob

Thanks for the reply. I´m now totally rebuilding my KQ, gonna take it apart and remove all the rust and repaint it, fix everyting that needs attention. I figured the hoses were just vents, but just wanted to make sure. This one needs alot of work but when I´m done its gonna look good be as good as new! I like your website, it has some usefull info and tips, keep it up!

Thanks again!
