I've been offered an 86 LT250R that is in excellent condition, and has a bunch of extra parts with it, 4 spare tires, custom and stock exhaust (not sure what kind the custom one is), and some other things I don't know much about or even what to call them (like those nets under your feet so you don't run yourself over). All it needs is an engine. Is it worth $600? I found an engine for $400 already that comes from the same year and make. Should I take the deal?

However, if its a slamdunk frame motor combo (and not a big headache), and you like the bike,,,it may be worth the 1000 to you.
