Default LT250 With RM250 Motor

right i got it home this afternoon and gave it a good once over, the kick start is badly worn and extends way past where it should and makes it kick at a bad angle resulting in me not getting a proper good had kick onto it,
same thing with mine. The stock RM250 kicker sucks, it wears out bad all the time. Try to find an 85-92 LT250R kicker and put it on. Much better design and better grip. I've seen guys on the net with RM250s put the LT kicker onto the bikes.

Justin im just wondering if you had to cut your pipe or modify it in any way to get it on the lt, and what do you recomend as good bolt on HP mods,
Yes, I had a local pipe builder build a pipe around the LT chassis using the back end of the RM250 pipe. Very good deal. For bolt-on performance modsI reccomend Carbontech high tension reeds. The stock ones flutter at high RPM. Also a 13 tooth front sprocket isn't a bad idea at all!

oh yeah the magneto cover has a small but definite crack in it so the stator issue may just be crap getting in there time will tell tho,
I had a similar problem with mine but I fixed it with a little JB weld applied to the inside of the cover. Works like a dream.

Anyway, nice talkin to ya. I gotta go ride mine now!
