I was wondering how many people hate 230 quadsports. Because i hate mine. I buy part after part for it and it only runs for about 2 weeks in a row. Then it breaks again. I have broke 4 cases(i tighen my chain reguarly), and had bought a new swingarm, and many parts for the bake breaks. Just wondering what you thought about yours.

thanks

lt 230 quadsport

Hmmmm....

Sounds like you guys got something that had been beat to death or you didn't know a thing about how to take care of them. (I'm not saying that is the case) It just doesn't seem possible for something to run for about two weeks between break-downs if it has been taken care of properly. If you two really had machines that were in that bad of shape, I'm sorry. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I also hated my Quadsport!! It seems like they were the worst quad ever built. I also had to replace the case once and the chain would never adjust right. I could never get it to run right it always flooded and the plugs fouled all the time. The side kickstart really sucked because you have to kick it sideways instead of backwards. I have never met anyone that is satisfied with their Quadsport!! So it cant be just a few lemon quads the their all junk! I glad I dont have it anymore or I would have gone nuts by now. When I bought it I had no idea it would turn out that bad the guy that sold it to me said it was great, yeah right! Oh and the sucker I sold it to had to totally rebuild it and replace the whole axle now he is selling it. So the curse of the Q-sport will continue!!Get rid of yours quick or youll be sorry!

It's a real bummer when parts break, ever ask yourselves why the cahin keeps coming off and trashing the cases.........

these quads have a bearing in the frame each side of the swingarm, if these are flogged the swing arm will never stay aligned and flicked chains are the result. If the bearings are really logged the frame mount for the bearing is likely elongated, a good machine shop can make a pair of bronze bushes
to cure the problem.

Personally I know two very happy 250 riders who have had great runs out of there little zuki's and they ride em pretty hard. Both did the swingarm bush mod before it stuffed the frame. 230's I know several owners (8 quads)they to have had excellent reliablity from these little machines.

Guess the motto is "you can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear......" and I think this applies to any quad, If it's dog, expect it to bark.........

I had my quadsport from my 16th birthday in 1986 until 1999. In 1999, I had to replace the stator. Also, in 1999, at Little Sahara, I had the swingarm bearing go out and it would throw the chain all the time. I put a piece of PVC pipe in there as an emergency fix (nothing in Waynoka OK)and never had a problem again. I did everything with it, wheelies, slides, jumps, etc... and never had a problem with it. I guess that it is how you take care of it. I then got a 99 Warrior and modified it and now I have a 2000 400ex. I plan on keeping this one for a long time, hope it lasts half as long as my Suzuki did. P.S. My Dad bought the Quad in 1986 for $1999 and when i traded it in in 1999, They gave me $1600 for it. Hope it gives you an idea of how I treat my quads. P.S. I bet I can jump farther and higher than any of you and I am now over the hill.

I take really good care of my quad. I guess it depends on the quad whether you got it new or used. Or how you ride or where you ride.
