i have a 92 LT250R with a stock filter & i wuz wondering if the lid of the air box was removed would it do any damage to the engine? can you feel a power gain?will i burn more gas? thanks

Yes you will do damage if you run without an airbox lid. You will damage the engine because it will be running lean. If you rejet your carb, then it will be alright to run without an airbox lid.
