I want to call Suzuki and ask about whether they'll hook me up with a winch deal for my 5 speed 500 Quadrunner that they offer for the auto but not the 5 speed. I don't know if they'll help me out or not but I figure it's better to try and get a good or bad answer than to not try at all and never get an answer to my question. Anyone know the number or possibly an email address, because they don't list either on their website. Thanks.

I try to get that number when i get to work tommorrow. Just so you know Suzuki issues your dealer a credit to assist in paying for the winch. It does cost the dealer "some" money. I think you will probably have a tough time getting that winch since it is not listed on the promo.

Thanks badlt500r. I'd appreciate the phone number and I figure I might as well give it a try and see if I can at least get a rebate or discount on a winch.

Venomous, if you'll check the manufacturers' pages accessible from the ATV Connection home page, perhaps you'll find the information you need, at least a clue so you can exploit Directory Assistance.

Your best bet on getting a deal on a winch might be approaching your dealer and offering to pay the dealer portion of the cost, if he's willing to go along.

The phone # to American Suzuki Motor Corp is 714-996-7040 I don't quite know who you will need to talk to because of the type of question you have. My dealer program lists the winch program as dealer bulletin no 77-99 and was in effect from 8-1-1999 to 11-30-1999 and included models LT-F500F and LT-A500F regardless of model year. Both quads are on the program so you r dealer is holding out on you. If you bought a non-current model there was also an additional credit received by your dealer. Good luck and be reasonable with your dealer and he should be reasonable with you.

Well the Suzuki Co. didn't want to help me out on the winch deal and said that it was mainly up to the dealer. They said that the dealer themselves makes the deals and it costs them money to make them but after the dealers make the deals then the Suzuki Co. reemburses them for there costs. I contacted the dealer and they said that the offer was only good on the automatics and that they wouldn't give me a free one or a discounted one but said they could order me one for about $100 more than they cost out of the various catalogs and charge $80 to put it on. Well I'm not ordering one now since I can't get a deal on it as it will be quite a while before I have the extra money to buy one and I don't see why the dealer says that they only offered the deal on the auto when the Corporation even said that the deal was good on autos and manuals as well as 98, 99, y2k models. This will teach me to shop around even longer than I did this past time.

I think you may have some legal recourse on these guys. Unless you verbally agreed to not take the winch as part of the negotiations and you did not purchase the unit during the specified time of the promotion I don't see how they could get away with it. Don't direct you anger to Suzuki, you can imagine how many calls they get from people trying to get something for nothing. I would try to see If the Customer service dept would mediate between your dealer and yourself. I wish you all the luck and that you could have purchased from my dealership. I couldn't resist putting a plug in for myself!!!!

Hey, I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the winch deal.. I just bought a 00 KingQuad, about 2 months ago. My dealer said that they did not sign up to particapate in the winch deal, because you had to pay the list price on the quad, to qualify for it. They said they never sold one for the list price... They gave me a decent deal on the quad, and sold me the winch and mounting bracket at their cost, as compensation.. I came out pretty good on the deal...
I would think, your dealer would agree to cut a little slack on the price, but I guess it depends on who you are dealing with. Good luck..
