Congrats on the purchase! I'm sure that you'll be very pleased with it! My only advice is to get an inline fuel filter and put it in. Search through these forums, there is a ton of info. I don't think there is a single person that is dissatisfied with their Eiger!

Mods done so far: inline fuel filter, aux. lights wired into the high beam switch, metal cv boot protectors, hour meter, heated grips, $15 wally world utility box on rear rack for supplies, 2" hitch ball, modified tank bag (due to the shifter), fender utility bag, thumb throttle assist, plenty of bungee cords and last but not least, 2500-lb warn winch (the '04 is prewired for winch, pure genius). Have fun and impress your buddies.

I would recommend doing it soon. I had black plastic flakes (assumed from the gas tank) floating in the carb bowl. Once I installed the filter and cleaned the carb about 3 times, the quad ran like new. (I noticed the power loss/spitting and spuddering around 800 miles.)

I bought a in-line filter from a honda dealership. As long as it is clear, and fits your fuel line off the valve to the carb. Just cut line about 2inches from fuel valve and use zip ties or two small clamps for filter.

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of Eiger!!!!
I used a fram from wally world. Its not clear but its effective. YES do it now!!!! In fact ask the dealer to put it on before you pick it up.
Growler 67 did you wire your lights directly to the high beam or did you install a relay? I used the relay off the high beam and power from the power outlet (diff curcuit) so that if I blew a fuse either my main lights would work or my aux lightds would do the job. Where did you get your hour meter? I want one that is also a tach so I can check the clutch lockup rpm.
I also installed back lights because sometimes I like to see the person I'm pulling out of the mud

Thanks for all the replies. I called the dealer and had him put one in before I picked it up last Saturday. Looking forward to getting it up to the mountains. So far only 14 miles around the yard!
