Sorry for all the stupid ?s but i just got mine and have some unanswered ?s. i think mine is an '85 and one of my ?s is why does mine not have front fenders and others that ive seen do? is it just that year? is it after market plastic? the other is how much is the engine out of it worth? the guy i got it from said it didnt run so i puled it out and im gonna put a streetbike engine in it. i was just wondering cause i saw an engine out of an '89 go on ebay for 300 all taken apart withbad rod bearing but wanted to know if an '85 engine is as valuable.

well the front fenders are probably either cut.. or aftermarket.. there are front fenders im sure there only like 1 inch wide.. heh or maybe there cut and there is none.. i think the plastic is pritty much all the same from 85-92.. i think..

 

there may be like 1 inch fenders but ive seen a lot with full front fenders. Also why would you want to cut them off?

A non running 85/86 motor usually doesn't bring more than $300, depending on what is wrong with it.
Probably put it on Ebay, with a stlarting price of $100, and a $300 Buy IT Now. I have sold a few motors on Ebay, and sometimes the Buy IT now gets use,and sometimes, the auction goes the length. Dont put a reserve, because, if you don't sell it, your still stuck with a motor you can''t use.

The 87+ motors are more valuable and sought after.
