Default Splitfire Plug

Is the splitfire sparkplug any good or should I just stay with the stock plug.

Don't give it a second thought....Stick with NGK or Nippodenso.

could you explane why you wouldnt use a splitfire plug.i cant keep anyother plug in my lt cause they all foul out except the splitfire and yes my carbs jetted correctly.?

I herd the spitfire plug is such a hot plug that it would meltown because it is so hot.. just what i herd. when i created this forum Spark Plug Alternitive.

It's not that they are going to explode or anything like that. Electricity will always take the path of least resistance (better ground). Two electrodes are a bit more forgiving on a fouling problem. If they were really any better they would be in every top fuel dragster in NHRA, NASCAR, etc. Test after test (gear heads) regular plugs perform better than platinum, double platinum etc. They just do not last as long.

Two strokes just don't foul plugs all the time. If you fouling plugs, you have a problem. You have either weak spark, low compression, cracked or weak reeds, mix is too rich and many other small things that combined may be your problem.

I could go 6~7 months on my 1997 KX250 riding every other weekend without fouling a plug. No bull. My grandsons' 2001 Scrambler 50
had almost 90hrs on it before the meter quit last year. I have only replace the spark plug twice. (Thats three total.)

I'm prety sure the makers of Split Fire lost a class action law
suit against them, that they misrepresented what improvments
the plug actually did....

jees im sorry i prefer splitfire. i will pull it out and go buy a ngk and then i will sell it right away. im sorry i went agianst what all of you have said and i will never own another motorized vehicle.thanks for helping me see the light board members............ lol
