Got a question about the reverse lever. Whenever the quad gets hot the reverse does not want to engage. When it is cold it has no problem. Just when it gets hot it does not want to go, sometimes if you rock it alot it will go in but most the time it wont. It is a real pain in the a$$.

any help would be great, thanks.

How long have you had the machine. I noticed that when I first began riding mine. After riding it a couple times it smothed it self out. I figured it was because it was new. Now though it goes in and out of reverse fine.

what kind of warrenty ( I can';t spell, lol), does it have on it??? If u don't have a warrenty, then I would let it go for a while, but if u have one, go get it checked out...

Could you be more specific? Is the reverse lever going all the way back? When our '99 KQ was still in the break-in period, we sometimes had a hard time getting the reverse lever to go all the way back to engage reverse (it felt like it would bind midway). But, as someone else mentioned, the problem went away with time. I also noticed the same thing with the range and 4WD selectors. They get smoother with time.

My Suzuki/Yamaha dealer said there was a problem with the Suzuki reverse lever, and that Suzuki had found a solution to it. My brother in law had the same problem on his '00 KQ and they ordered a new piece and put it in free. This is a common thing to happen to the newer models KQ and QRunner.
