Default Proper Zilla Jetting?????

I was wondering what the stock main jet size is for a 1987 quadzilla lt500r? IT has a 390 in it right now, but i think it may be too small , it is hard starting, i kick it over and it pops but doesnt start, it is like it isnt getting enough fuel, even when choked, but if i shut the ignition off and kick her over 4 or 5 times then turn it back on and kick it it will start and runn great. it idles perfect and everything runs out good, tons of power, but i think that jet is too lean, it had a 410 in it when i got it but someone told me that was too big, so we tried the 390 and it ran.
any help is apreciated

the 87 stock has a 420 Main jet. The needle is set to the 3rd slot from the bottom. Middle i do believe. But it all depend on your ride, temp and altitude.
The 88 Has a slightly different carb because of the changes to the machine
Also the 89-90 Carb Is slightly different also. Main jet sizes for these 88-90's were i think 390 (not sure).
Also turn the air screw in all the way and then back it out 1 1/2 turns
