Anatomy Of A Crash. Vinson Rollover...
#1
Well folks, it finally happened. My vinson and i rolled, It was the worst thing i have ever seen. i was in a stripmine. it rained yesterday and the coaldust was very wet and VERY grippie. so i was doing a spin, the right rear tire caught in a little dip and there we went. after i got up i flipped it back over and checked it out. some of the plastic on the right side is scratched up to heaven. the front rack is bent just a tad and the paint is chipped a bit. so im gonna get a plastic renew kit and work on that, then take the front rack off and clear coat it over the chipped paint. and all this happened right before i am taking it in to my dealer for the first service.. :-( so im kinda upset at the moment. did i say that it is a 2004 Limited edition Vinson.. i know. feel free to bash me.

PLASTIC RENEW KIT???????!!!!!!!
This aint the last time yer gonna scratch er !!!!!
I can understand thet since ya aint got yer first service, ya aint been riding long, but you may as well get used to scratches. And if ya do any adventurous trail blazing you may as well get used to a roll over now and then. It happens, you gotta be prepared for it at all times.

Don't feel too bad. I rolled my wife's Vinson, last fall. It barrel rolled 2x before coming to rest on it's side. Thank G-d I had a helmet on, as the first roll was on top of my head. Destroyed the headlight pod, fortunately the lcd unit was not damaged. Also destroyed front plastic, mirrors, etc. All told, replacement parts came in just under $300 from www.ronayers.com. Needless to say, she likes me to stay on my own quad (P650) now!

LOL........I did the same thing my first time out on the Ozark. My friends wanted me to do a donut (I didn't know what the heck I was doing) and scratched the plastic up prettty good. It kinda pissed me off but since then theres been plenty more that followed. I also bent the bumper a couple of times but was able to bend them back into place. Carnage is gonna happen but I know how you feel when its on a brand new machine.............

I rolled mine also.... I feel your pain... Mine came back on top of me when i couldnt make it up hill in a sand pit. I watched her do a couple flips ,end over end then it landed upright on all fours. Blew the rear tire right off the bead, Bent up the Bars, front Rack, Front subframe, Light brackets , Handlebar light mounts and destroyed the Shifter mechenism in the left fender. . I was out of action a few months due to injuries. It cost me about $300 to fix. Oh BTW i picked up a couple Complete shifter Mechenisms for the Vinson. I got em cheap. SO if anyony destroys theirs ,Let me know, I will sell for a good price. Believe me they arent cheap to replace.

I was a lucky one. it only went on its side. i was suprised to find that the handguard was still attached. so there is a very very slight bend on the front rack (barely noticeable) and the plastic has some DEEP scratches but all in all it looks like shes gonna be ok. just to make sure im gonna have the dealer check it out. the odd thing is that we had been riding all weekend and we were doing doughnuts and the one time we had a camera i wiped out. odd. i hope to have video up soon.
