Default Eiger knocking

Mine does the same thing, and I haven't even made it to my first service. ( I was told by me dealer to bring it in at 200 miles). Has anyone had this problem: My fan used to come on all the time. I was in some pretty good mud the other day, and it took forever to come on. The eiger seemed to be hotter than usual, too.

The only time my fan comes on is when I was riding in the snow, 4x4, reving pretty good, not moving fast.

Eiger1 had a knock and it turned out to be a loose bolt in the clutch. It didn't affect performance, just made noise.

I run 87 most of the time but I also run 91. It only adds about 50 cents to a fillup, but brings ya more cleaning action and holds up better when the quad is sitting for extended periods of time.

I did 91 Octane, no difference, maybe a little more zip. By the way . my kids LT80 had a low end knock, and it turned out the belt was loose , slapping the bottom of the case.

Haven't had the thing apart to checkl the clutch, but would it apply to a manual shift (I know, it's still an auto clutch)?

It looks like we're all going to have to wait on eigerbeaver's dealer. But the problem could be completly different since his is an auto. The auto doesn't run in oil and the clutch on the 5sp does.

BTW, THE WEATHER SUX!!!!!!!!! 70* on saturday, family day for my daughter's birthday. 50* and dropping and raining since.

Hey all, I took Eiger in to dealer , service dude started it and rode it, said lower end knock is my clutch, so I will be Eigerless for up to two weeks. (in tears) But on a good note , this gives me the excuse to get a third quad. I wish I had the bank roll for the twin peaks.
