Default Cracked bottom front motor mount on 02 Vinson

Anyone hit anything so hard it cracked bottom motor mount. This crack is on bottom, left side, rear, but doesn't go into main part of motor, just an inch or so from frame in but not into the "meat" of the motor where the two halves come together.

A metal expert friend of mine says he wouldn't worry about it. What do you guys think?

Are you able to weld the aluminum that goes from the main body of the motor out to the ends of the mount bolts? How do you weld that cast aluminum without pulling the motor?

the motor mount itself broke, its steel so no problem welding it

We went riding in Durhamtown Plantation, GA this past weekend and my friend bent the crossmember that holds the shocks. He lost about 3" before the trip was over. One guy there was carried off in a lifesaver helicopter, another broke some ribs, a leg, and arm, and another guy fell of of his motorcycle or quad and his buddy ran over him. We had a blast.

I bent my frame and cracked the front lower motor mount. I had to replace the frame($1800) and took the motor to a professional weldor and he fixed the cracked case. Be carefull not to get the case too hot or it will ruin the gasket between the two case halves.
