2003 Eiger 4x4 question
#1
Hey,
I have an 03 eiger 4x4 and it has about 2600km on it. The only problem that I have had with it is that it is clicking when the 4x4 is engaged. I only hear this sound when I have the wheels turned, no when its going straight. Has anybody got any ideas?
PS I also have another 03 eiger thats clicks but it is very quiet compared to this one.
Thanks!

So its nothing worry about? whew! that's a relief! Sorry to hear about your Eiger, overall though I think that these are very reliable and durable machines. What do you think about the plastics on the eiger, those stupid plastic screw-type things are very annoying, do you know if I can order replacements from Suzuki? thanks again for the help

I am satisfied with the eiger also, I think my knock is something a little loose in lower end , ironically there is no loss of power. The plastic fasteners suck, but everyone tells me to buy the fasteners from Honda, they fit and are only 49 cents a piece.

Just wondering what the top end is on your eiger, i'm pulling 58mph (93km/h) completely stock. Is this about right
(I weigh 145lbs and i have a winch and raer storage seat on it.

Eigerbeaver, yer problem should be covered under warranty. When eiger1 had a knock it turned out to be a loose bolt in the clutch. The dealer tried to tell him that they all sound this way. I asked him to start up a new one and "lets compare." He agreed and then agreed that there was a problem. The machine still ran great and performed great but it was noisy.
Joshpascoe, ya should be able to go to any honda dealer and ask for a bag of rivets. $5 for a bag of 10. Get a whole bag, you'll need em later. If yer still under warranty take it in and have it looked at. You have 2 eigers, the other one doesn't make that noise, does it?
Just an idea, maybe its the limited slip front diff making the clicking noise., check your fluid.
Now get on yer knees and pray to the weather gods. I NEED TO RIDE!!!!!!!

Eiger2,
Ya, I have two Eigers and I first noticed the clicking on the other Eiger (lets call it the green one), but it was very faint, and then the other one (the red one) did it too. Now the only thing is that the red one is becoming louder. But the red one has 2600km compared to the green ones 480km. so where would I check the Front diff fluid? Is it something that I should be topping up periodically?
Thanks
