My point was that you cant order that engine in that truck. Its either the 8.1 or the 6.0. There is no 7.4 option. That engine was gone with the sierra/ck classics.

I may be wrong, but you can buy crate 454's and buy the bolt patterns to the truck! But i haven't the slighest clue why you would want to do that? When youcan spend a little more $$ and buy a brand new 502/502

As for imports they are still learning the are of 4x4. You couldn't even get a limited slip rear end till the late 80s or early 90's.

Can't beat a Toyota. Currently driving two, a 94 Land Cruiser and a 98 Tacoma Ext Cab 4X4. Here's my list:
1968 Chevy C-10 SWB P/U
1967 Pontiac GTO (Still got it)
1983 Toyota Celica
1979 Mazda RX-7
1988 Acura Legend
1993 Toyota 4Runner
1980 Toyota P/U
1995 BMW 540i
1994 Mazda RX-7
1986 Nissan P/U
1991 Toyota Corolla
1991 Toyota P/U 4X4
1989 Nissan Maxima
1996 Winnebago Warrior Class A Motorhome (my current getaway vehicle)
and proud owner of two Vinsons, a 2002 for the wife and a 2003 for me.
Not too impressed with American made vehicles. Hurts to say it but I get more for my money with the Toyotas. Well even now, some of those are made in America!
