Default LT250R water pump impeller

I'm rebuilding the water pump on my '87 lt250r quadracer. It's been awhile sine I took it apart, and I don't remember how to put the seal behind the impeller head. Which side goes against the impeller head, the rubber side or the ceramic side? I think the rubber side goes against the impeller and the ceramic side goes against the mechanical seal, but I want to make sure before I put it back together. Are there any other tip's I should know when putting this thing back together? Thank's for any help you can give me.

WHICH SIDE IS THE CERAMIC SIDE. I AM LOOKING AT A DIAGRAM. THE THICKER SIDE AGAINST THE SEAL AND THE THINNER SIDE AGAINST THE IMPELLER.

I asked the local dealer today and he told me I was right, the ceramic side against the mechanical seal. Thank's for the help.

It shouldn't leak if he replaces the seals. I had to replace mine because it leaked, but once I had the new seals in it didn't leak anymore.
