hard to start lt250r
After it has sat for a while, overnight or so, and i go to start it up it won't. I have spark, but i don't think i am getting any fuel. If i poor a little gas down the cylinder it seems to start right up, and after i get it started and warmed up it will start good the rest of the day. But, as soon as it sits for a little while i have to go through the whole deal again.

It sounds like you already have your problem figured out. If you're not getting fuel, she won't run! First, be sure you have fuel in your quad......sounds silly, but I bet all of us have run low and not noticed it, second, turn you gas petcock off and remove your fuel line from your carb and get something to catch fuel in. Turn the gas on and see if you have fuel flowing through the line. If you have fuel flowing through the line then there's a problem in the carb. Take it off and clean out the jets and check your floats, also be sure to blow through all the vent lines from your carb to make sure they're not plugged up or pinched anywhere.

This is a problem with Mikuni Carbs. They suck. Get a kehin air stryker. I had three Suzukis and they all did it. The problem is in the jetting. rebuild the carb and then rejet. The hard start and no idle is caused by the pilot jet being cloged or to small. Also make sure the air screw is not closed all the way, it should be opened about 2 turns. here is a link to jetting instructions http://www.ohv.8m.com/
Hope it helps.
Almost forgot- Check the crank seal on the flywheel side. Remove the stator cover and if its got oil or carbon build up inside the seal is bad and could cause a lean condition.
