I just read an article in the June issue of ATV Sport that the Suzuki 450 won't be out for at least another year. Suzuki released the 2004 Z400Z to hold us over with the two tone plastic and custom graphics. The 2005 Z400Z will have some upgrades they state.
I think putting reverse on the 450 will steer a lot of people away from the competition and over to Suzuki. I love my Z400!

For MX guys reverse don't matter, For everybody else including XC/harescramble racers reverse is a good to have, just like electric start. Don't forget that Suzuki isn't just making the Z450 for Doug Gust, they also sponsor William Yokely in XC.
They would have the race market cornered if they get the power and handling of the YFZ450, and the comfort and reverse of the LTZ400.

I'm tellin you guys it's gonna be out fall/late fall.....my friends think that it's basically gonna be a production Yoshi450 quad and that a Z400 with the Yoshi kit will be the same but actually its gonna be a whole redesigned engine and Kawasaki is gonna make there OWN!!
Oh and F--- the reverse!!! This is gonna be a RACE quad not an other hard runnin Z400 trail quad. Hopefully Suzuki will do it right the first time with strong frame and hopefully a round housing axle carrier and some other goods. The Z400 handles great so hopefully they can stretch it out and make it lower like the YFZ.
Honda has what they needed for a base (the 400EX and 250R)...I think the 450R is a great quad and all but I think Honda tried somethin different when they should've improved what they were successful with....maybe I'm wrong but thats my opinion........
bansheesmoker- Sorry I took your thread and sorta changed it.
