Edelbrock vs FCR

Default Edelbrock vs FCR

Which carb is better? Which one is cheaper? PLease help a little confused with the two?

fcr is more tunable and is more precise. this has ups and downs, if your good at jetting go with the fcr if not go with the quicksilver. If your motor is bored out and you have mods I hear that you need to send the edlebrock to them to have it modified to work with the mods depending on the motor and the mods I hear.

Default Edelbrock vs FCR

I ran an Edelbrock on a 400EX for a while. Top end power was FURIOUS, but it had a bog off the bottom that just could not be tuned out, no matter what I did. Finally, it bogged on a takeoff ramp, and I came up short on a big double! So, I pulled it off and went back to the stocker.

It has only one circuit, so is not as tuneable as a carb with three different circuits.

FCR from Service Honda=$340
If you have any ability to tune a carb, or even are willing to learn, get the FCR.
