Default vinson auto tranny problem

2002 had a problem with the autos. They have a shift kit that needs to be installed. The problem is; it takes 11 hrs to do(per dealer) and at $74 an hr....OUCH!! I am having the same problem on my 02. the 03 works great, but they installed the kit on them. Try and find a dealer that will work with you on getting Suzuki to pay for it. That's what I am in the process of doing. Goood luck!

i am aware of the shifter problem, but thats not it. the transmision is locked up. quad wont move in forward or reverse. if you give it gas you can hear the belt start to slip. something went inside the trans.

Take the cover off the side and check the belt really good,it might not look to bad ,but if any bad ribs ,then that could be part of the problem, then check the clutch bearing, it also might be bad and that piece is not cheap.the belt also is not cheap. something to think about.good luck
