My brother died last fri when his DS 650 hit a tree. The oil and gas tanks broke and caught him and the machine on fire, but it didint matter he was dead before he hit the ground. Iv got second and third degree burns from putting the flames on him out. just wanted to share with you all hopeing it makes you be alittle more carefull next time out. ride or die.

 

Sorry to hear about that. A friend of mine hit a tree a few weeks ago trying to keep up with a yamaha 450. He was on a vinson identical to yours. It was so dusty he couldn't see the turn and caught his lf tire on the tree. I was far enough back to keep the dust out of my lungs and when I got to him, he was knocked silly on the ground and his vinson was on it's side. He lost a lot of gas, bent the frame, bent the right handle bar to the gas tank, and had a flat tire. It hurt his stomach, ribs, and head. He is lucky that is all that happened to him.

last sunday I was at a practice track and im a very cautious rider. I went and watered the track the went to make my first lap and dident know they put a rythem section in what was along straightaway. I was thinking it was still a high speed straight. it comes out of a blind corner well I wat tapped in 4th about to click 5th on my z and I hit the section. I went end over end my atv ran me over then my buddy who also rides here alot landed on me with his ds650. to make a long story short I should have taken it easy not having even done one lap and I should have been more careful. So I got to take a ride to the hospital to find out that I broke my back and a rib. I tell you what my ignorace put me in alot of pain and at 27 its the second time breaking my back. So yeah it is a good Idea to take it easy know your limits and be careful. Im very sorry to hear about your brother it is always sad to have an accident like that of anysort.

 

I'm sorry about your loss. It's very brave of you to share something like that to help prevent it from happening to somebody else.
